olutvuohi This album is unbelievable. It has managed to capture doom metal’s elan vital in one fell swoop. It’s scope can only be experienced in order to understand. I can’t pick one best song as they are all worthy. The last time I was so enthralled and excited was when I first heard My Dying Bride thousand moons ago (and MDB remains one of my favorites). This is just that good.

The Spiral Labyrinth is out….finally. It’s been a though process of visualization, creation, destruction and recreation, feverish work, guilt, nights with little sleep, but we think the result really speaks for itself. I can do nothing but to bless the Unknown forces that set in motion all the creative destruction that ended with the birth of this project.

As a musician, to create is a sacred duty. It’s life. For long time we struggled with forces dampening our creativity, muting our will to do dark and sombre music and directing us to work for the display of others in a cult-like environment. Never again.

Freed from these dire circumstances, our creativity broke every bank and flooded every corner of our inner universe, perhaps so vehement, perhaps so sincere. It’s a long and massive album, we know. It’s hard to swallow. This is what it is.

Every piece of music you’ll find here is a journey through a real mental breakdown. As real as it gets. Solnegre will never be about abstract pedantic romantic concepts with fancy lyrics, or politically oriented rants to defend frantically at some bar’s discussion. This is going to be hard to listed on its entirety, we understand. Some of the concepts you’ll find hard to follow, some of them will be very familiar to you. Because you’ve been there before, and it’s like recalling a distant dream. A dream you want to dream no more.

We sincerely thank you first of all for taking the time to listen to our work, which is the true work of tortured spirits and unfulfilled hopes.

A continuation of the first piece, this piece finds the God fully awakened and enacting judgement on its followers and surrounding world. This God's rule is defined by pain, torment, and oppression. Refuge is not forthcoming and none are safe. Another awe-inspiring blackened funeral doom composition, I think this surpasses the first installment. Tyler Schartel
